Yin/Yang Yoga The “Yang” practice is the one you are more familiar with. It moves and flows with focus on your muscles. The “Yin” practice is passive with long-held postures (2 - 5 minutes each) focusing on your joints. By stretching and challenging the deep connective tissues (fascia and ligaments) surrounding the joints, you can open blockages, restore a healthy flow of energy, and strengthen your joints. Yin postures are mostly in seated or reclined positions using props for comfort, and include a meditative focus. Great for any level of yoga practitioner.
